DANDELION BOUQUET

i made you a dandelion bouquet
it says what i know i can't say
on my bedside, that’s where it will stay
until i feel ok, feel ok

and the horses are grazing the lawn
but when i woke up you were gone
when i found you, it was barely dawn
you were right where you belong, you belong

so i turned around and went back to sleep
cause i know i can’t force you to keep on loving me
keep on loving me

and the does are raising the fawns
but everybody’s saying that they’re doing it wrong
and i’d tell you but it’d take too long
cause you know it takes a village to write a song

press my flowers into a page
then wrote down what i did today

and don’t tell me that i’ve lost my way
if you think you’re free you’re in a really big cage

so i turned around and went back to sleep
cause i know i can’t force you to keep on loving me
keep on loving me
